Getting started
What is STATZO?
STATZO keeps every match, goal, assist and rating for grassroots players and teams, with trophies to win, training to log and supporters who can follow along.
Who is it for?
Players keep their own stats. Parents look after one or more children. Managers run a whole team and squad. Supporters (family, coaches, any fan) follow a player once the family approves them.
Is STATZO free?
Yes. It’s free to download and free for life. Every account starts with 14 days of Premium, with no card needed.
I’m under 13. Can I use it?
Yes, with a parent. Under-13s are added by a parent on a parent account.
Can one login have more than one account type?
Yes. In More, tap Switch, then Add an account type. Each type keeps its own players, teams and stats, and you can switch between them any time.
Matches and stats
How do I add a match?
Tap the + button, then Add a match. It takes five quick steps: the match, the score, goals and assists, defence, then the last bits like ratings and photos.
Can I change or delete a match?
Yes. Open it from Results, then tap Edit to change anything, or scroll down to delete it.
Does my team need to use it?
No. You log your own matches. Your team doesn’t need the app.
Do penalty shootout goals count?
No. Shootouts are shown separately at the bottom of Overview and never count towards goals.
Seasons and teams
When does a season start?
Seasons run September to August. If yours runs differently, change it in More › Player details › Season (managers: Team details › Season). Matches move to the right season automatically.
How do I add older matches?
In Player details, tap + Add an earlier season and pick the team. Then add the matches with Add match: pick the date and they go in the right season.
I have changed team. What do I do?
In Player details, edit the old team and switch on Left this team (with the date), then add your new team. Old matches and stats stay.
Can I run more than one team?
Yes, with Premium. Each team keeps its own seasons and squad.
Supporters
How do I invite a supporter?
In More › Supporters, tap Invite and send the code by WhatsApp, message or email. They enter it in the app, and you approve them before they can see anything.
What can supporters see?
You choose in More › Supporters: stats, trophies and training, and match notes. Photos and videos stay with the family. You can remove a supporter at any time.
I have been sent a code. How do I follow a player?
Get the STATZO app and tap “Been invited to follow a player? Enter code”. Already using STATZO? In More, tap Switch, then Add an account type › Supporter.
Premium and billing
How does the free trial work?
New accounts get 14 days of Premium free. No card is needed and you are not charged automatically when it ends.
Why aren’t prices shown here?
Prices vary by country, so the app shows you the right price in your own currency.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Plans are paid through the App Store or Google Play, so cancel or change them in your phone’s subscription settings. More › Subscription takes you there.
Can someone else pay for my Premium?
Yes. A supporter can gift Premium to the family they follow from their More screen.
Account and privacy
Is it safe to share?
Cards show first name and surname initial only, opponents as initials, and there’s an Anonymise switch. Supporters only see what you share.
Where are my photos and videos kept?
On the phone they were added on. If you delete the app or change phone, save any you want to keep to your Photos first.
How do I delete my account?
In More, scroll down to Delete account. It removes your login and everything on it, and cannot be undone. Paid plans must be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play as well. More about deleting your account.
How do I reset my password?
On the log in screen, tap Forgot password and follow the code we email you.
